BASIC INTRODUCTION OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: ISO 9001:2015

The quality management system standard ISO 9001:2015 assists businesses in ensuring that their goods and services meet customer and regulatory requirements. Establishing leadership, making plans, allocating resources, putting processes into place, evaluating performance, and continuously improving the QMS are all part of it. Organizations can gain a competitive advantage by obtaining certification, demonstrating to stakeholders that they have a robust QMS in place

HISTORY OF ISO 9001

The British Standards Institute (BSI) developed BS 5750, a standard for quality management systems, in the 1980s. This was the beginning of ISO 9001. This standard was subsequently embraced as a worldwide norm and became known as ISO 9001. The standard has undergone numerous revisions and updates over the years, the most recent of which is ISO 9001:2015. Risk-based thinking, context-based approaches, leadership, and continuous improvement are all emphasized in the current version. One of the most widely used quality management system standards currently in use is ISO 9001:2015
